Our Story

Rooted in Benton’s rich history, The Stilley House Senior Living was built on the values of connection, community, and compassionate care. Our name honors Dr. Van Stilley, whose legacy of welcoming others lives on through our warm, family-like atmosphere.

Today, that spirit continues in a thoughtfully designed setting where residents enjoy elevated amenities, personalized support, and genuine relationships. With multiple levels of care under one roof, we provide comfort and confidence—every step of the way.

At The Stilley House, our team is the heart of the community, driven by compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to exceptional care. With experience, empathy, and a genuine passion for service, we strive each day to enrich the lives of every resident and create a warm, welcoming place to call home.

Jennifer Brown

Executive Director

Jennifer joined Stilley House in 2021 after working at our sister community, Lakes of Paducah. She jumped at the chance to come back home to Marshall County and considers herself grateful, thankful, and blessed to work with the residents and families at Stilley House. Many exciting changes and improvements have been made since Jennifer came to the community, only adding to the family feel. When she is not busy at Stilley House, she enjoys time with her husband and two children.

Michelle Case

Business Office Director

Michelle is a lifelong native of Marshall County, and has been with Stilley House since it opened in 1997. She has a true passion for caring for our seniors. She feels that this is not just a job but a true blessing to get to help make a difference in our senior’s lives. Michelle is married to her husband, David, she has one son and two bonus sons. When not at work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.

Robyn Powers

Director of Community Relations

Robyn began her journey in senior living in 2005 after graduating from Murray State University. She has served in many positions from Administrative Assistant to Executive Director, and has been the CRD since 2018. She quickly fell in love with the people and charm of Marshall County, truly loves the bond that is created through the transition to our community and treasures each relationship that is built.

Shelly Clampet

LPN, Director of Resident Care & Wellness

Shelly has been a nurse since 2000; the first 17 years were in long-term care, and the last six years were in hospice nursing. She is originally from Mt. Pulaski, Illinois but relocated to Calvert City earlier this year. Shelly has three children, four bonus children, and two bonus grandsons. She enjoys spending her time with family and friends, and playing cornhole!

Paula Robinson

Director of Life Engagement

A former teacher and HR manager, Paula brings her love of working with people and channeling joy into all aspects of senior living. She feels her role is to serve The Stilley House residents and make their day a little brighter through activities they enjoy. An Alabama native, Paula and her husband of 25 years have lived in Marshall County since 2007. They are empty-nesters, with two children in college.

Nicola McClure

Director of Culinary Services

Nicola has worked in the medical-related field since the age of 19. She started as a CNA, then moved into the Culinary arena at the age of 44, obtaining her Food Management Certificate. Nicola enjoys cooking for the residents, and it shows! Her promotion in January to the Director position demonstrates her commitment to their dietary needs. Originally from Illinois, she enjoys time with her son, cooking with friends, and being outdoors experiencing new things.

Teresa McMullin

Concierge

Teresa began her career at Stilley House in 2012. She loved her job as a Resident Assistant but thrives in the position of Concierge. She loves the residents and families and goes out of her way to help in any way she can. Teresa is originally from Calloway County but moved to Marshall County 30 years ago after marrying her husband. Teresa and her husband have 2 sons who are her world. She loves camping and spending time with her family.

Ray Eaton

Director of Maintenance

Ray has been with Stilley House since 1999. Prior to joining Stilley House he was the Store Manager at the local Wal-Mart for 16 years. He has the title of “Mr. Fix-It” around the community. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, gardening, and working in his yard. He has two sons and three daughters and 5 grandchildren. He and his wife have lived in Marshall County for over 39 years. Helping people is what keeps him going.

Barbara Morgan

Open Arms Director

Barbara began at The Stilley House in 2021 as a resident assistant. Because of her calm demeaner and level head in challenging situations, she was promoted to Director. She has a kind heart and ‘going above and beyond’ is second nature to her. Barbara is married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren and a beloved Labradoodle.

The Stilley House offers a more residential, home-like setting with non-medical assistance that promotes independence and personal choice. Any medical needs are managed through outside providers.

No. Every resident has their own private apartment. However, shared accommodations may be arranged for spouses or companions who choose to live together.

Yes. Residents (or their representatives) will review and sign a lease agreement, which outlines services, policies, responsibilities, and protections. This ensures full transparency and mutual understanding from the start.

Yes. We offer scheduled transportation for medical visits, errands, personal outings, and community events. Details and availability are outlined in your lease and our team is happy to help with scheduling.
