My father moved here in August of 2013 and has come to love the Stilley House. He has mentioned several times that the people are what makes his experience so good. From the owners, the front office staff, the resident attendants, the kitchen staff, and others – all are respectful, competent, and above all, caring. Security was a concern when looking for a new place of residence for Dad. This is not a problem at the Stilley House. Never have I wondered if he is safe. Meal quality is outstanding. Dad has actually gained weight since becoming a resident. On my first visit to the Stilley House I tried to find some reason not to move Dad. I could find nothing that might suggest this was not the right place. That decision has proven correct time and time again. Thank you Stilley House!
During a very difficult time in my family’s life, we found friends that we are so thankful for in the administration of The Stilley House! My mom had not been feeling well for some time, and on a trip to the emergency room on July 7, 2014, she told my sister and I she could not make it on her own anymore. The Stilley House was very close to my sister, who lives in Calvert City, and had come highly recommended. It was the first assisted living house my mom and I visited, and the minute we stepped into the house it felt like we had come home! Alan and Anne took us under their wings, answered all of our questions, and directed us to outside sources that we needed to contact. Mom and I chose one of three available apartments and began deciding what furniture she would need to make her new apartment feel like home. Now, over a month later, Mom is adjusting well, making new friends, and is involved in the numerous activities The Stilley House has to offer. My family and I do not say we are going to visit Mom at “The Stilley House,” we say we’re going to visit her at “Her House!”
“….perfect place for my Mom. I wanted her to have the best…they treat you like family. They have a lot of fun and are always there to help….you can tell their heart is in it. She loves it here and calls it home…..When Mom pushes her button they are right on it….excellent home-cooked meals and made-from-scratch goodies…a lot of activities…they go all out. They are a blessing to each resident and their family. I thank God for the heart they have to treat each individual with respect, love, and dignity. “
